Nikon D750 Review

Nikon D750 FrontThe Nikon D750 is a full-frame DSLR with a 24.3MP CMOS sensor. it’s an improved version of the most used sensor in Nikon cameras. Not so long ago it was the highest resolution in top Nikon cameras but now new cameras are released with higher resolutions like the 36MP in the D810 and 45.7MP in the d850. It is still a great sensor that delivers outstanding image quality with excellent details.

Performance

The camera is powered by the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine enable a native ISO range of 100-12,800 with extension settings taking this to ISO50-51,200 and continuous shooting up to 6.5 frames per second which is quite good for sports and moving action photography.

The Nikon D750 offers an advanced Multi-CAM 3500 II autofocus sensor module with TTL phase detection and 51 focus points that work very well with the new 91,000-pixel metering sensor which is a noticeable improvement compared to 39-points and 2,016-pixel sensor in the D610 which is a fast and reliable system in any focus scenarios.

Since the d750 share many performance specifications from the d810 but it also comes with some limitations like the 1/200 sec maximum flash sync speed and 1/4000 sec maximum shutter speed where the d810 feature up to 1/250 sec and 1/8000 sec shutter speed which is quite attractive and practical in capturing very fast-moving actions with confidence and result in very sharp result.

Design

The Nikon d750 body is well built with a combination of magnesium alloy and carbon fiber making it feel sturdy. It weighs 840g with a battery included makes it 10g lighter than the d610 and 140g than the d810 which is an advantage to be reckoned with in terms of portability. It is also made with weather-sealed in mind making it is more resistant to bad weather like light rain and dust. Moreover, The grip is now redesigned to be curved narrower and deeper inward the body compared to the d610 making the camera much more comfortable to hold and fit hands better.

Display

As for the display, it comes with a 3.2 inch LCD with 1,228,800 dots. It doesn’t support touch input but the good news is that it is not fixed like the d610, it comes with a tiling mechanism LCD (not fully articulated) that can tilt up and down which comes in handy in shooting from high or low positions to easily see the LiveView.

Video

As for the video department, the D750 is capable of recording Full HD videos with 1920×1080 resolution at 60fps with 10m maximum length at the highest quality. It also offers stereo microphones and headphone ports to get more fine-tune audio levels for professional video production. Although the video specifications are limited to 1080p with no 4k option, it does the job very well and results in sharp details and pleasing colors videos. Not to mention, shooting in 1080p is still practical and satisfying for most photographers who benefit from its high quality versus reasonable file sizes.
